About the Author

Olivia Atkin is a New Zealand author based locally in Te Awamutu. Her writing journey began with the release of her debut book “While You Were Growing” which she wrote while on parental leave with her first child.

The idea of the book was sparked when I noticed how intuitive our Bernese mountain. Dog was to noticing the changes I was experiencing during pregnancy and that’s whose point of view the book it is written by.

I always wanted my children to grow up alongside a furry family member and to be able to document that friendship for him
